Record producer Chris Slusarenko, John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, along with Yoko Ono, Rufus Wainwright, The Polyphonic Spree, Cyndi Lauper, The Breeders, Yo La Tengo, Jonathan Richman, They Might Be Giants, Sleater Kinney, Fred Schneider and many more, record the music of Hedwig over the course of a year for a tribute album to benefit the Hetrick Martin Institute in New York City.
