Edward Bishop is a Senior Editor with Rainlake Productions,
an award-winning independent production company located in the heart of
Tribeca. As part of the Rainlake team, Edward’s versatility in the
cutting room has placed him on a diverse range of projects from short
form T.V. projects to long form documentaries.
Edward just recently wrapped on Kobe Mentu, a six-part reality T.V. mini-series
that took him outside of Rainlake to Radical Media where he cut a half
hour episode and half of the hour-long finale. Sponsored by NIKE, Kobe
Mentu follows the journey of 24 Chinese youths as they travel to the U.S.
for a week of basketball training camp with Kobe Bryant.
Edward is currently editing Rainlake’s new reality project, CIRCUS
STORIES, a multi-season series that follows the lives of family circus
performers. Prior to Circus Stories, Edward edited the bonus materials
for Rainlake’s DVD release of Follow My Voice With the Music of
Hedwig, an official selection at the Tribeca Film Festival ‘06 and
currently distributed by Wolfe Video. Aside from his long form work, Edward
has edited numerous videos at Rainlake for MedJet, the Empire State Pride
Agenda, Greendepot, and CCG Metamedia.
Edward is a graduate of the Hopkins-Nanjing Center for US-China Studies and formerly lived and worked in Beijing, China. He holds a BA in East Asian Studies from the University of Virginia.

KOBE MENTU (Episodic TV)
KOBE MENTU follows the journey of 24 Chinese youths as they travel to
the U.S. for a week-long training camp with Kobe Bryant and his team of
coaches and trainers. Split into two groups, the players face a series
of cuts as they compete to make the final teams and prepare to battle
it out on the grand stage in Beijing.

FOLLOW MY VOICE: WITH THE MUSIC OF HEDWIG (Behind the Scenes with the Polyphonic Spree, Sundance Channel)
Produced in association with Sundance Channel and distributed by Wolfe Video. One record producer, the creators of a cult film classic and some of the most influential indie rockers record a benefit album for a controversial LGBTQ youth center in New York City. The four featurettes document the studio sessions of the Polyphonic Spree, Jonathan Richman, Ben Kwellor with Ben Folds and Ben Lee, and The Breeders as they record tracks for Wig in the Box, the benefit album featured in Follow My Voice.
CHESHIRE, OHIO: A Question of Power (Feature Documentary Selects)
This documentary feature traces the final months of Cheshire, Ohio, a small town in Appalachia that sits in the shadow of one of the world’s largest coal-fired power plants. After months of exposing the residents to hazardous chemicals, the plant put forward a startling offer to buyout the entire village for 20 million dollars. Almost all of the homeowners in Cheshire are reluctantly accepting the deal that includes signing away their right to sue the plant for future health problems. But a handful of residents will stay and witness the inevitable destruction of the town some families have lived in for six generations. Told through the dramatic personal stories of three families in Cheshire over the course of two years, this film will provide an intimate look at the end of an American town.
